A Trip to Azad Kashmir With AFP
On 3rd July, it was a very exciting and honorable day for me because after the hard work the day has come and we were finally going to Azad Kashmir with Adventure Foundation of Pakistan. I was feeling so proud among all my class fellows because I was the only girl who was selected from my school. When reached there I saw a lot of children of same age who had come there for the same cause. There were children from all over Pakistan like Chitral, Quetta, Karachi, Multan etc, and not only from Pakistan but around the world like London, Dubai and Saudi Arabia. We all were gathered there for a good cause to interact with the young children who have been living there for long and did not knew a lot about other people. We wanted to promote friendship amongst all the young children of Pakistan and all over the world so we could set example besides that. We explore the nature of God. How far the mountains are and how deep the lakes could be. The whole valley was mind blowing. It did not seem that we were in a part of Pakistan. It was out of the world. At dawn it used to be smoky and cold. We had to wear warm stuff to protect ourselves. We did such thing that we had never thought of doing it in our houses like serving food to the whole group, cleaning our camps and mountains. While doing the practical work we also studied there about the depth of lakes and the height of mountains and the kinds of pants. I also achieved my biggest achievement by climbing a mountain called Ganga Choti, which were 10,000 ft. and the highest mountain of the Azad Kashmir. I felt really good after coming down because I had done something that most of people can’t even think to do that. AFP also organized a cultural evening for us so that all the children could show their culture and their skills. The trip was ten days and those ten days passed so early. On the 12th of July it was our departure date. We all had to say good-bye to all our friends. And leave for Lahore back to our homes. I think it was a wonderful trip and good experience for me. I think there should be more foundations like Adventure Foundation of Pakistan. And every one should participate in them whole-heartedly to promote love and friendship all over the world and to explore more and more peace.
